How to set up account security

In this section, you'll find instructions on how to set up account security on the Traiex platform. Learn how to enable two-factor authentication, create a strong password, manage your devices, and activate an anti-phishing code.
In the “Security” menu section, you have access to functionality to help you better protect your data and funds.
If your password is compromised or not strong enough, you can change it to a new one at any time.
1.1. Click the “Change” button.
Please note! After changing the password, sending and withdrawing funds will be suspended for 24 hours.
1.2. Enter in the appropriate fields:
current password;
new password;
confirmation of the new password.
1.3. Click the “Send Code” button to receive a confirmation code to your email.
1.4. Paste the verification code that came to your e-mail address into the appropriate field to verify the action.
If you already have two-factor authentication enabled, you will also need to enter the 2FA code from the Google Authenticator app to change your password.
1.5. Click the “Confirm” button to change the password.
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) using the Google Authenticator app. Once 2FA is activated, you will be requested to enter a unique code each time you log in or withdraw funds. This step will reduce the risk of your account being hacked.
2.1. Tap the “Enable” button.
2.2. Download and open the Google Authenticator mobile application on your smartphone.
2.3. Scan the QR code using the scanner in Google Authenticator.
If you cannot scan the QR code, copy the text code (customization key) and paste it into the appropriate field in the Google Authenticator application.
2.4. Click the “Next” button.
2.5. Paste the verification code that was sent to your email address into the appropriate field.
2.6. In the “2-Factor Authentication” field, enter the code that appears in the Google Authenticator mobile application next to your Traiex account.
Please note that the 2FA code has a time limit. You need to enter it and confirm the action before it expires in the Google Authenticator app.
2.7. Click the “Enable ” button to complete the two-factor authentication for your account.
Regularly manage the devices that have access to your account. Delete any unfamiliar devices or those you no longer use to prevent unauthorized access.
3.1. Click the “Manage” button in the “Device Management” block to view information about the devices that have access to your account.
To delete a device, click the trash can icon next to it.
3.2. Click the “View” button in the “Account Activity” block to track your activity and the flow of funds on your account.
You can add verified addresses for transactions to your Address Book to make transactions fast and secure.
4.1. Click the “Manage” button.
4.2. Click the “Add Address” button.
4.3. Fill in all required fields:
remarks (to quickly identify the address in your book);
currency;
address;
the network that matches the network of the specified address (if more than one network is available for the selected currency).
4.4. Click the “Add Address” button and enter the verification code from the Google Authenticator app (if you have 2FA enabled).
Form your address book for quick transactions and don't forget to delete addresses that are no longer relevant.
After activating 2FA, you can enable the anti-phishing code feature.
This code will be included in all official emails from Traiex to help you identify authentic messages and protect you from phishing attempts.
5.1. Click on the “Set up” button.
5.2. Enter a unique code consisting of 6-20 alphanumeric characters in the appropriate field.
Memorize/write down your anti-phishing code and DO NOT give it to third parties!
5.3. Click the “Confirm” button.
5.4. Confirm the action with the verification code on your email and in the Google Authenticator app (if you have 2FA enabled).
Maximize the functionality in the “Security” section to strengthen the protection of your data and funds on the Traiex platform.
